We are currently seeking a Captain to join a 29m Single Season Private Motor Yacht.
The vessel, a Ferretti 940, is currently in shipyard and will be delivered in Northern Italy before being based in Sicily for the summer season. This is a unique opportunity to lead a private, family-oriented yacht during its first season on water. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Captain, preferably holding YM Offshore or Master 200GT certification, and will be responsible for the overall safe operation and navigation of the vessel. The role involves working closely with a consistent crew, including a First Mate and Stewardess. The Captain will contribute to a relaxed, family-friendly environment where the owners often do their own cooking. Candidates should be fluent in English and comfortable working in a private setting with a supportive team. The owner of the vessel are very personable but direct in his approach.

Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a Captain on similar-sized vessels
- YM Offshore or Master 200GT certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a straightforward approach
- Experience with vessel operations, navigation and safety regulations
- Comfortable working in a family-focused, relaxed atmosphere
- Good English language skills
- Willingness to start ASAP
- Family-oriented with understanding of private family vessel dynamics
Package:
- Salary: €6,000pcm
- Itinerary: Mediterranean based in Sicily
- Leave: 5 days paid leave per month
