We are currently seeking a Permanent Captain to join a 55m+ Private/Charter Sailing Yacht .
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the vessel's day-to-day operations, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and crew and maintaining the high standards of the yacht. The role is based in Europe, with the vessel currently located in the Eastern Mediterranean and scheduled to operate around the Balearics, particularly Ibiza, during the summer season. As the vessel is a Turkish gullet with recent refits, candidates should be familiar with sailing vessels and possess a strong background in sailing, demonstrating leadership and operational expertise for a vessel that operates with a crew of 10. The vessel rarely gets its sails up so operates as a Motor Yacht 90% of the time.

Candidate requirements:
- Master 500gt license
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Experience commanding sailing yachts of similar size (55m+)
- Proven leadership and crew management skills
- Strong sailing knowledge and experience, particularly with Turkish gullet vessels
- Experience operating in the Mediterranean regions
- Ability to ensure safety and compliance onboard at all times
- Excellent communication and guest relation skills
- Experience with vessel refits and maintenance management is advantageous
Package:
- Salary: €13,000 pcm DOE
