We are currently seeking a Permanent Chief Engineer to join a 55m+ Commercially Registered Motor Yacht.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vessel's engineering systems and ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery onboard. You will work closely with the captain and other crew members to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests while at sea. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The vessel is currently in the shipyard undergoing a warranty period and intendeds to sail this summer and be based in Monaco. You will have a 2nd engineer with you to assist with day to day operations.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer on motor yachts, ideally between 46m - 50m.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, including auxiliary machinery, generators, and hydraulics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crew and guests.
- Proficiency in safety management and emergency procedures.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and schedules.
- Valid STCW and ENG1 up-to-date.
- Y3 Engineering license.
