We are currently seeking a Permanent Chief Stewardess to join a 40m Private/Charter Motor Yacht that operates a busy single-season programme with a strong charter focus.
This position requires an experienced Chief Stewardess from similar-sized vessels who can step onboard and immediately take control of the interior, as the yacht has an upcoming boss trip shortly after joining.
This is a hands-on role within an established, mature crew dynamic, suited to someone calm, professional and confident working independently without the need for micromanagement. The yacht runs an active programme with lovely owners who enjoy water sports, and when not onboard, the vessel operates fully booked charters. This is a permanent position offering a busy summer season and a quieter winter period, based in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Full management and organisation of the interior
- Leading, training and motivating the interior team
- Delivering a high level of service across owner trips and charters
- Managing fast-paced 48-hour charter turnarounds
- Overseeing provisioning, inventory and interior standards
- Handling interior administration (accounts experience beneficial)
- Maintaining a structured, calm and well-run interior department
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chief Stewardess on similar-sized yachts (40m range)
- Able to join and hit the ground running immediately
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to run a tight, organised interior
- Calm personality with a strong work ethic
- Composed and solutions-focused under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and confident in a team environment
- Service-driven with confidence across different styles of service
- Strong wine, cocktail and beverage knowledge
- Creative with high attention to detail
- Positive, professional and no-drama approach
- Mature mindset suited to working within an older crew dynamic
- Fluent English required
