We are seeking a Chief Officer for a 55m+ Private Motor Yacht, currently based in Europe. This is a Permanent Contract with Rotation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the yacht, alongside overseeing deck operations and maintaining high standards of service and maintenance. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent leadership skills and the ability to be hands on supporting a deck team. The Chef Officer will work closely with the Captain to uphold the vessel’s reputation for excellence while ensuring compliance with all maritime safety regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chief Officer or First Mate on luxury yachts, preferably within the 50m-60m range
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Chief Mate certificate or higher
- A healthy, non-smoker, with a positive attitude, will fit in well with the current team
- Strong knowledge of safety, security, and environmental regulations applicable to large motor yachts
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage deck crew effectively
- Ability to operate and oversee maintenance of navigational and deck equipment
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written

- Salary: €6,500 -7,500 pcm
- Leave: 10:10 Rotation
- Itinerary: Mediterranean
- Bonus, starting after 12 months, with increases over subsequent years
