We are currently looking for a Temporary 2nd Engineer for the Winter to join a 50m Motor Yacht that will be based in Spain.
We are currently seeking a 2nd Engineer for the winter to assist the Chief Engineer throughout the winter period. The successful candidate will need to have a solid grasp on engineering and be able to work independently. This vital role in supporting the Chief Engineer to ensure operational and maintenance of the machinery and systems. We are looking for a hands on, self motivated 2nd Engineer that has good technical knowledge. You will be joining a close knot team that have worked together for an extensive period of time.
Start Date: 16th November 2026
End Date: 1st February 2027
Candidate requirements:
- Valid STCW and ENG1 certification
- Completed AEC1 & 2 or Higher
- Previous experience as a 2nd Engineer, Sole Engineer or Good Deck Engineering Experience
- Able to work independently and without supervision
- Strong technical knowledge and competence in marine systems and equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergencies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and itineraries
