The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations aboard the yacht, ensuring that all systems are running efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team while maintaining high standards in yacht management and maintenance. The Chief Engineer will play a crucial role in providing a seamless experience for guests and maintaining the luxury standards expected aboard a private motor yacht. The candidate will need to be hands on and able to help on deck from time to time.

Start Date: 16th July 2026 - (2 Month Temporary Contract)

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience in a Chief Engineer position on motor yachts of similar size (30m - 40m).
• Strong technical knowledge of yacht systems, machinery, and maintenance.
• Valid STCW and ENG1.
• Y3 or higher.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

This role is based in Europe and requires a dedicated professional Chief Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the vessel’s engineering systems. You will oversee all technical aspects of the yacht’s machinery, manage the engineering team, and work closely with the captain and other departments to maintain the vessel to the highest standards. The vessel will have 4 weeks of guest trips during the time onboard, so we are looking for a Chief engineer that is able to hit the ground running and has charter experience.

End Date: 20th October 2026
